This is HDDL — mindset + business support for creatives and 'preneurs and I'm Cee. It's great to meet you.

hi, i'm cee.

Remember the feeling when the bell rang for recess? That mad dash to the blacktop, where nothing else mattered except having fun? We didn’t overthink it, we didn’t care how we looked — we just played, laughed, and connected.

That’s the energy behind The Power of Play.

Los Angeles is full of people looking for connection, but let’s be real — coworking spaces and fitness classes aren’t always it. The vibe can feel forced, like you’re there to network instead of just be. So, we flipped the script and created a day that brought people together the way it used to happen: through play.

With YesRally and lululemon, we set out to create something more than just an “event.” This was about intentionality: crafting an experience that focused on the impact of the attendee, not the product. We wanted people to drop their guard, shake off the “adult” energy, and rediscover what it feels like to move, laugh, and play.

400 guests showed up, decked out in their best sweat gear (shout out lulu💅🏽), ready for a Field Day that brought all the blacktop vibes. Team captains rallied their crews, track and field events kept the energy high, and a sense of nostalgia brought everyone back to those carefree days. It wasn’t about competition — it was about connection.

This wasn’t a small-budget project, but the lesson here isn’t about the dollars spent. It’s about designing with intention. Every decision — from the games to the vibe to the flow of the day — was made with one goal: to create a space where people could let go, be present, and just play. When you design for that kind of impact, the experience becomes transformative.

This event reminded us that sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is embrace the simplicity of play.
